80th Independence Day Observation Programme

Proceedings of the Independence Day Observation Programme

Bethany Christian College observed India’s 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026 at the football ground, College Campus. The programme commenced at 7:00 AM with the Master of Ceremony, Asst. Prof. Kimneilhing Haokip, Controller of Examination, welcoming and guiding the proceedings.

The programme included the flag hoisting by Dr. Laltanlien Khobung, Vice-Principal, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. This was followed by the Inaugural Speech delivered by Asst. Prof. T. Lawmpi, Department of Political Science, and the Independence Day Speech by the Vice-Principal.

The programme concluded with a Word of Gratitude delivered by Asst. Prof. J elot Duhlian, Dean of Academic, expressing appreciation to all participants and members of the college community for making the observation meaningful and memorable.

The celebration commemorated the spirit of freedom, unity, patriotism, and gratitude for the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes.

Capturing Creativity on English Language Day 2026

Photo gallery for the Observation of English Language Day cum Workshop on Poetry Writing, organized by the Department of English and IQAC. Held on 23rd April 2026, at the Bethany Christian College Smart Room, the event was a beautiful celebration of creative expression and the English language. In this collection, you will find snapshots of the engaging workshop led by our Resource Person and Principal, Dr. B. Kam Za Mung, alongside inspiring student poetry presentations and vibrant musical numbers. The gallery also features moments from the Poetry Exhibition, which proudly displayed the 24 original poems submitted by our students. The programme concluded with joyous moments as certificates were distributed to all contributors in recognition of their participation. We hope these photos capture the meaningful spirit of literary creativity that made this event such a successful initiative for our students. Read details report

Empowering the Next Generation: International Women’s Day at BCC

On March 8, 2026, Bethany Christian College hosted a special celebration for International Women’s Day.
Featuring Chief Judicial Magistrate Ms. Nemkholam Lhungdim as the resource person,
the session focused on legal literacy and the theme “Give to Gain”

From discussions on constitutional rights to the importance of inclusive growth, the event challenged students to become active participants in the pursuit of gender justice. The college remains committed to collaborating with the District Legal Services Authority to bring more legal awareness programmes to our campus and the surrounding community.
