There are 244 ‘Praises’ mentioned in the Bible. Psalms 47:6 says, “Sing praises to God, sing praises, sing praises unto our King, sing praises”. About 117 ‘Sings’ in the Bible. Here, with some addition, we have compiled some 604 songs for the Bethanians sings, As there is so much demand from the Bethanians, we reproduced the same. I thank God and my own dependable brother uncle B.K. Shwanno who patiently re-typed all these songs. I have added some of the gospel songs of my dear friend Pastor Ch. Naba of ‘Eigi Punsi Asina’ fame about 20 of them.
I have also added some of my own composed songs, both English and our local ‘Chin” songs kindly compiled by our nephew Robert Seikholen Lhungdim on the felicitation day of my Doctorate degree in 1999. I also have included some of the old time favorite songs of EU from ‘Come and Praise’, ‘Phatna La’ and Uncle Khuppu’s songs.
Oh! how I still remember and cherish those days when we all used to sing the whole night on almost every Saturday in our whole night prayer about 300 to 400 of us the Bethanians all over from Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and even from Myanmar in the hostel of Bethany in the 80’s!!
Let us all praise and sing to the Lord, wherever we are teaching, admonishing and encouraging one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing joyfully with grace in our hearts unto the Lord. Amen.

We thank God and our true blue Bethanian Seikholen Haokip, who took the trouble to print this 3rd edition of our Bethanians Sing at Kolkata. He printed and sponsored our Golden Jubilee Souvenir in 2021. He also donated a Badminton court at Bethany Indoor Stadium.

Amazingly, the Psalmist says that we can please God by singing: “I will praise the name of God with a song, and magnify Him with thanks- giving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs”! Psalms 69:30-31. Our first Bethanians Sing was compiled by Uncle Ngamlal and Uncle Thensei in 1984. The 2nd Edition was printed and sponsored by Class X 1995 batch of Bethany. This 3’d edition is edited and supervised by Uncle Mung. From the beginning Bethanians worship God by singing. In our Bethany an- them we have “GOD IS SO GOOD AND LOVING”. This chorus is loved and sung daily by the Bethanians for the last fifty-four years. Singing is the highest form of wor- ship. This time we are printing 1500 copies and will print more as some ex Bethanians in some other states also demanded it.

I hope and pray this song book will bless and continue to bless Bethanians from generation to generation.
