Bethany Christian College observed India’s 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026 at the football ground, College Campus. The programme commenced at 7:00 AM with the Master of Ceremony, Asst. Prof. Kimneilhing Haokip, Controller of Examination, welcoming and guiding the proceedings.
The programme included the flag hoisting by *Dr. Laltanlien Khobung, Vice-Principal, followed by the singing of the **National Anthem. This was followed by the *Inaugural Speech delivered by *Asst. Prof. T. Lawmpi, Department of Political Science, and the *Independence Day Speech by the Vice-Principal.
The programme concluded with a Word of Gratitude delivered by Asst. Prof. J elot Duhlian, Dean of Academic, expressing appreciation to all participants and members of the college community for making the observation meaningful and memorable.
The celebration commemorated the spirit of freedom, unity, patriotism, and gratitude for the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes.
